Find Orphaned Content

Want to increase your site traffic? Start with orphaned content, aka posts with zero inbound links.

Orphans are pages or posts on your site that are like digital loners – not connected to other content on your site through internal linking. They’re like lost treasures floating around in cyberspace; if users can’t find them, Google can’t either. The result is less visibility and accessibility, which can negatively impact your site’s ranking.

Clariti allows you to effortlessly filter for Inbound Links from the Explore view. You can also cut to the chase using the Super Search feature.

Posts without inbound links are also flagged in the Issues box in the Overview tab for a single post.

Zero links? No problem. Start linking your orphaned content in other site posts, rinse, and repeat.

How to use Clariti to find the best content to link to, from the Explore view:

  • Search for other posts with similar keywords, like “pizza” or “ice cream.”
  • Filter content by the same category and also with zero inbound links—two orphan birds, one stone!

🪄 Clariti Tip! Add inbound links to your new content checklist to avoid making new orphans

The Explore page makes it easy to actively monitor new posts’ performance by giving a quick, high level snapshot of things like page views, positioning, traffic sources,  and top keywords, all on one page.

Clariti even gives us instant feedback on issues like missing alt tags and inbound links, and broken links.

Without these features, we’d probably miss out on opportunities to continue optimizing and improving our blog posts over time.
